How many people can stay on Little Firs?
Answer: Up to 5 people
There's two sets of single bunk beds in the back, the bottom singles convert into a full sized double. Kids and Dogs are welcome, but the bunk singles might not be suitable for extra young'uns. While at Canopy & Stars, there’s a toilet and heated shower in a converted horse box next door. Future plans are to add a toilet and shower to the bus, we’re exploring the most responsible way to do this.
What are the estimated Co2 emissions from Little Firs?
Answer: 500g per mile
We’ll get around 25mpg from the diesel DPF engine, meaning the Co2e footprint will be approximately 500g per mile. Our events kit will live in the bus so it acts as a storage container and minimises the number of vehicles going to each location. Whenever they can, the events crew will travel in the bus too. In the same way that getting public transport creates less Co2 than individual travel, using Little Firs should mean fewer vehicles needed to attend events.
What will it be used for?
Answer: A space to stay, spark inspiration, share stories and connect with nature.
Showing up at festivals, a unique live music venue, an in-the-field podcast studio, a food & bar popup, a platform for inspirational talks, a home from home, a hub for intimate gatherings, fireside chats and creativity. We'll be staying put for long periods of time in epic Canopy & Stars locations, opening Little Firs up to our community to grab a slice of off-grid buslife.

What materials did you use to fit her out?
Answer: Some reclaimed wood, repurposed textiles, existing things
The bulk of the build-out on the interior uses reclaimed wood and off-cuts, including old sanded down pallets. Some of the upholstery textiles were crafted from Passenger off-cuts and samples. Wherever possible we sourced second hand and re-purposed materials we already had available.
